Brain Arteriovenous Malformation

Three views from a cerebral angiogram (anterior-posterior, lateral, and oblique) demonstrate a parenchymal arteriovenous malformation. The injection is into the left internal carotid artery.  The malformation fills from the middle cerebral artery (MCA).  The main venous drainage is via the superior sagittal sinus (SSS).  Depending on location, brain AVMs can have contribution from internal and external carotid artery branches and have a number of drainage patterns.
