Young woman in an MVA, found to have a grade I injury of the right internal carotid artery. The above image is an AP view. Note the luminal irregularity of the mid-ICA (arrows).

Two weeks later, despite anticoagulation therapy, the injury had progressed to a grade III lesion (not shown). A stent was placed to prevent possible distal embolization. The image above is post-stenting in the AP view.
