Cervical Arch

Middle aged man referred for angiography to evaluate a "pulsatile mass" in the right supra-calvicular area.   Oblique and AP views from a thoracic angiogram demonstrate a very elongated aortic arch.  The apex of the arch extends as high as the 6th cervical vertebra. The branching of the great vessels is somewhat aberrant; there being separate origins of the right subclavian and carotid arteries rather than a single innominate artery.
