Transection of the Brachial Artery

 

Middle aged male involved in an auto-pedestrian accident.

           


 Three dimensional volume rendered reconstructions from the aortic arch to the the wrist of the left upper extremity, with and without bones.
The "green blob" at the level of the elbow is extravasation of contrast from an actively hemorrhaging artery. Note the lack of filling of the arteries below the elbow.
