This is an injection into the left common iliac artery. The external iliac artery and branches of the internal iliac artery fill. The serpiginous branches toward the center of the image are the uterine artery. This branch of the uterine artery is supplying a fibroid.

The two images above are selective injections of the right internal iliac artery which demonstrate even more serpigenous abnormal vessels supplying uterine fibroids.
The above two images are the right and left internal iliacs after injection with an embolic agent. The abnormal vessels no longer fill.
